Are you saying you are getting water in the top cylinder even after doing Head gaskets? How clean was the Engine Block where the gasket sits? sure sounds like you still have a coolant leak to the cylinder

2005 Mini Cooper 1.6L 4 cylinder is having excessive white smoke and doesn't stay running, only when my foot is on the pedal and keep it at 3000rpms and brakes are hard to push

quick guess is coolant leak into engine (intake/head gasket or warped/cracked cylinder head)
does engine over heat or losing coolant?

I am getting gas in oil. I had a mach. look at it and he was suppose to put it on a computer to see what was wrong. He said he did and I had a busted head gasket or cracked head. I took the head out and...

first off no computer will tell you what caused that or whats wrong in that area.
that is possible but would require also haveing bad rings or cyl walls scarred up. my bet is on head gasket.
how'd it run?

Engine started overheating then, really loud knocking. The engine died shortly thereafter before diagnosis could be made. Same problem happens when trying to start, but engine always dies. Dropped the oil...

As you've already realised, this is serious. The engine is more than likely totally shot. Maybe a broken valve and punched a hole in a piston. Broken piston rod maybe. It's been overheated and also probably blown the head gasket and warped a head. You're looking at a complete engine re-build already. I think I'd just buy a rebuilt long block and start fresh.

My 1987 ford tarus 3.0 ltr wagon has suddenly started chugging real bad like its gonna die and it sounds like its not getting gas. its also spewing out antifreeze from the back part of the engine..

You have a bad head gasket leak. Replace the head gasket.

Do not run the engine this way. If water gets into the cylinder that cannot be pushed out by the piston, you can have a hydraulic lock event that bends or breaks the piston or connecting rod, or bend or breaks the crankshaft. That would spell the end of that engine.

99explorer when cold out idles rough and smell gas like its flooding until it warms up have to keep foot on accelarater or it will die after it warms up good it runs fine doesnt do it in warm weather 4.0...

These Engines use a plastic intake manifold with rubber gaskets sealing them to the cylinder heads. The workshop I worked for had this problem & went through heaps of different scenarios to work it out. Turned out the intake manifold gasket had gone hard & was leaking until the heat of the engine had re-created the seal, which was taking anything from 30 seconds to a minute. It took heaps of testing to arrive at this conclusion & once the gasket had been replaced it was as good as new.

Random/multiple cylinder misfire detected

when u bent the push rod u might have bent the valve in the head ,by puting the longer push rod where it didnt belong it kept the valve open when the piston came up and the force of the piston on the valve bent the push rod,you will have to remove the head, hope this helps
