Hello sgt_topdog1: You need to locate the relay panel under the hood. This will be a black or orange cover. I attached a diagram of the box. It will tell which relay you are looking for. 1992 Plymouth Grand Voyager won't start, fuel pump runs for about 1/2 second when you turn on the key

The power control module sends signal to the fuel pump relay, it gets it's signal from the pick up coil in the distributor and the crankshaft position sensor. I'm having the same issues with my 94 Jeep Wrangler

Is there a fuse for the fuel pump 92 grand marquis

Hello fellow Grand Marquis owner...

Yes, there is a fuse, relay and an inertia shut-off that all affect power to the fuel pump.

The fuse for the fuel pump is in the power distribution box, under the hood. Fuse #8, a 20 amp fuse that also protects the electronic engine control relay. This fuse box is immediately behind the battery.

The fuel pump relay is immediately behind the power steering resevoir on the left side of the engine compartment. It's under a cover that houses three relays. Look for the words, 'FUEL PUMP RELAY'
on the plastic cover and carefully lift to check the relay, if necessary.

Check that the inertia switch didn't go off from a pothole or other jolt to the car. It's in the trunk, on the left side, above a yellow warning label with instructions. The reset button is pointing upward through a hole in the fuzzy gray trunk carpet material.

Good luck from Detroit, MI.

Where is the fuel pump relay switch on a 1992 grand mercury marquis?

This relay is almost always in the engine compartment relay box. If you don't see it there, please get back to me and I'll look it up.

1992 Dodge Grand Caravan engine failure

There is not fuse for pump but a relay in the relay block. I do suggest jumping to see if pump turns on. Test voltage from ECM if needed. If voltage is to pump, then pump is shot. If not voltage, relay may be bad

No fuel is getting to the filter is there a relay that could have gone bad? or what is the best way to check the fuel pump without drtopping the tank

You need to check the relay for the fuel pump, if the fuel pump is not running. It should be located under the hood on driver's side, rear of the headlight, mounted on the inner fender well. It can be checked using an ohm meter or multimeter. If the relay is good, it is most likely the pump. Sure hope this helps you and good luck.

check your oil sending unit if bad then no power to the pump. this is a savor for your car if you loose oil pressure then the pump shuts off .They only did this a few years!
