Question about 2006 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 2WD
My name is Joe and I am having problems with truck. When I am stopped and I try to put my truck in first or reverse sometimes it will not go in gear. I have been told five to six different things wrong. I have even bought a chiltons and there is no help in that big expensive book either. I was told it was the clutch, but when shifting there is no grinding. I was told that it can not be the slave or master cylinder because they would leaking and there would be a pressure loss. There is neither. The clutch fully engages and allows shifting through all the gears. Also, when it will not go in to first I put it in second and it will then go into first. The same thing happens when I try to go into reverse I put it in fifth and then it will allow me to go into reverse. Please I need so help that makes sense. Dealerships will not even return my calls.
It duse sound like the clutch . but i would try bleeding the slave clinder frist. it may work . but i think you will have to replace the clutch. good luck
