SOURCE: i got this code from turning the ignition 3 times

If the oil level is good and you are getting low voltage on the oil sensor replace the oil pressure sensor. The last chrysler I saw that code on the code indicated a bad O2 sensor. If you need to know for sure get the Haynes repair manual on your vehicle from the local auto parts store, it has a listing of the codes and what needs to be repaired when you get them.

SOURCE: 2003 pt cruiser engine codes

Most check engine lights will come on due to and emission problem. Stop by Advance Auto Parts and let them read the codes. It is probably a sensor.

Replaced both oil sensors now code is 0522 2006 300c 5.7

Trace the wires from the sensors to see if they are damaged. Also check the connectors for terminals that are pushed back and not covering the pin in the sensor.

How can i fix a p0522 code that is read by my engine light? Can i reset it and forget it? Or is it dangerous?

code p 0522 refers to engine oil pressure sensor/switch---low voltage === causes --wiring short to ground ---engine oil pressure sensor/switch---ECM
any reference to oil pressure warnings should be taken seriously as a destroyed engine is a result of inaction
first get it to an accredited service shop that handles your make of vehicle and have the oil pressure checked with a mechanical gauge
if it not a pump/ oil level problem , replace the sensor

It reads codes po300 po300 po522 but it runs perfect sometimes I need to press fuel pedal to start?

code p 0300 refers to random/multiple cylinder misfires detected ===causes spark plugs ---HT leads ---injector/s--ignition coil/s---low compression---wiring
code p 0522 refers to engine oil pressure sensor/switch--low voltage ===causes wiring short to ground ---engine oil pressure sensor /switch---ECM
for the first code having to alter the accelerator position ( which tells the ECM to let in more fuel indicates either a low pressure in the fuel manifold or that the injectors need cleaning
At high way speeds when the engine appears to be running good , it is still possible to have random misfires caused by low fuel pressures and /or dirty injector tips
It would be a good idea to check the oil pressure with a mechanical gauge ,then replace the oil pressure sensor/switch

We replaced the sparkplugs and wires, camshaft sensor, crankshaft sensor, timing belt, and oil pressure sensors on our 2005 PT Cruiser Touring Edition, non-turbo. Error P 0522 still shows. Any ideas?

So you have to have the error code cleared sometimes by a dealership if you have an ORileys or Autozone in your town they will clear the old stored codes free.

Transmission

The P0522 is detected when the signal sent from oil pressure sensor to PCM goes below specifications.

Possible causes
- Low oil level or motor mechanical fault
- Faulty Oil Pressure sensor
- Oil Pressure Sensor harness is open or shorted
- Oil Pressure Sensor circuit poor electrical connection
