SOURCE: 01 camaro sercurity light flashing and car wont start

This is a failure in your antitheft system. The ignition is not reading the key properly, or the ignition is not sending the "ok" signal to the theft computer properly. (Theft Deterrent Module) Either way, the car is not starting due to the failure in this system. This is proven by the SECURITY light. The hard part is finding the broken link in the system's chain. This site will help you understand the problem, along with a possible 100% fix if you decide to go that route.

WHEN MY CAR DID THAT I WAS TOLD TO LEAVE TURN THE KEY AS IF STARTING THE CAR AND THEN LEAVE IT IN THE ON POSITION UNTIL THE SECURITY SYSTEM LIGHT STOPS FLASHING. THEN TURN YOUR CAR OFF AND COUNT TO TEN SLOWLY AND YOUR CAR SHOULD RESTART. MINE DID. THE CAR SECURITY RESETS IT SELF EACH TIME YOU DO THAT.

Red sercurity light flashes in my truck
You could try re locking the doors then unlock them. Then open the hood and disconnect the negative terminal on the battery for 2 minutes. Hook up the battery and start the truck. This will flush the PCM's cache and restore everything to its normal state.

The security light is on and the truck will not start. I changed the fuel pump and filter. Now the battery is dead. The sercurity light keeps flashing and will not turn off.
you need to find out what fault code is causing the security light to come on
that's why the vehicle will not start
repair that and the vehicle should start

its your passlock sercurity it will start not letting you start car. to fix both the flashing not able to stared it. spray vcr head cleaner on your keys and into slot for your keys. turn key to on but dont start it will take 10min.
