Temp gauge wont work

Check for bad temp sensor

NEXT STEP,HAVE A COMPLETE COOLING SYSTEM INSPECTION SERVICE PREFORMED AS FOLLOWS;
INSPECT COOLANT LEVEL,
TEST SPECIFIC GRAVITY,
PRESSURE TEST SYSTEM,
PRESSURE TEST RADIATOR/EXPANSION TANK CAP,
INSPECT DRIVE BELT(s),
INSPECT COOLANT HOSES,
INSPECT HEATER HOSES,
INSPECT BYPASS/MISC. COOLANT HOSES/PIPES,
TEST THERMOSTAT OPERATION,
INSPECT RADIATOR TEMPERATURE,
INSPECT RADIATOR COOLING FAN(s)/CLUTCH OPERATION,
INSPECT CONDENSER/AUXILARY COOLING FAN(s) OPERATION(s)
INSPECT RADIATOR & CONDENSER FOR DEBRI,
OBSERVE COOLANT TEMPERATURE GAUGE OPERATION,

check fuses and relay for the fan . Replace the coolant temperature sensor ( not the temperature gauge sender unit)

Try first by replacing the cooling fan engine temp sensor switch, as this may be the cause.

I have an 1988 Acura Legend...I need to know how many Miles or Fuel I have left before I run out of Gas when the Low Fuel Indicator Low Comes ON!!????....

fan should come on at 210 degrees or when a/c is turned on. if it comes on w/a/c and not with temp
replace temperature sensor.

anything from the rad to the water pump give me some more information bout the car and ill help you figure it out

it wont click on unless the car is at a serton temperature

Replace the cooling fan engine temp sensor switch, this may be the cause.

if relays are good its most likely the engine coolant temp switch
