Look for the wire that is on your exauhst that is where the sensor is! it shouldnt be very hard to replace it yourself.

Radiator fans will not cut on and cool the engine

check fuses and relay for the fan . Replace the coolant temperature sensor ( not the temperature gauge sender unit)

Car overheating

check the water temperature sensor for operation as it controls the current to the ECM that activates the fan relay. When the car gets above 3/4 way on the gauge the fans should be running full time

Why won't the fan motor shut off on my 1991 acura legend?

Hey chandralebea,

Try first by replacing the cooling fan engine temp sensor switch, as this may be the cause.

Good Luck

1993 Acura Legend cooling fan relay was replaced and I dont know if it works. I can run hot wire from battery and the fan will come on.

fan should come on at 210 degrees or when a/c is turned on. if it comes on w/a/c and not with temp
replace temperature sensor.
