Question about Ford F-250
The interior over-head cab light in my ford f-250 super duty doesn't always turn off when i shut the doors. Sometimes it doesn't and sometimes it does. I've checked the fuse and relay. Both are intact (but i dont know if the relay is stickin sometimes or not). I have a diagram but it doesnt say where the Generic Electronic Module is located or show it in detail. Where would i find it in the truck to be able to check to make sure it works and/or fix/replace it?
You probably have a door ajar switch that is bad. You can check the grounds coming from the switch that goes to the gem module and it should change from open to ground when you open and close the door. If you really think the gem module is bad or want to check it with your scematic. The gem module should be piggy backed behind the fuse panel inside your pick if you remove the fuse panel inside your truck you should be able to access the module but you have to remove the fuse panel completely from the truck to remove the gem module. Good luck with your problem.
