if you are getting fire to the plgs its not the cranksaft sensor...if you arent getting fire you need to replace it they are simple to replace on the jeeps. took my son 5 minutes to change one out

Can almost gaurantee its your crankshaft position sensor. Its going to cost about 60.00 at any parts store. In a bad place though. On the drivers side on top of the trans. belhousing. It can be done yourself.

Hi jorl..... You need to call an autoelectric repair shop, get in and get that car on their scanner. There is no other way to find out what is going on. Joe
Thanks for choosing Fixya!

it soundl like your altenator has gone out, or is going out and has killed your battery, a quick, but not always accurate way to test this is with a multimeter. charge your batter and then start your jeep, the voltage should drop, abd then come back up to around 14v.
any other reading and your alternator isnt charging the battery and should be replaced.
also, i would recomend having a load test done on your batter, most reputable shops should be able to do this for you for little or no chatge for the test.
hope this helped
