the car seems to be getting fuel, and there is no noises , I have taken out the plugs there is gas on them, i have done compression test on 1st cyl is 60 psi, 2cyl 40, 3rd 60, 4th is 120 , and have added a bit oil to the cylinders and the compression did come up a bit. Does this mean the rings are gone and its time for new engine ? i was going to try the PCM, but after the test i called quits.

looking at compression test the problem is a blown head gasket if your compression is way low and engine over heating

My 93 voyager van 3.3 wont start . has no fire. what could it be

The 1st thing you need to do is check fuel pressure at the fuel pressure test port on the top of the engine with a test gauge and also run a fault code test on the computer engine control module. To do that test read the instructions at this site.

1997 pontiac sunfire running but wont cut off when key is off

hi there it sound like you have a wire bridging giving the ignition system a live supply you will need to look closely at all the wires that move when you shake them for a brake or broken plastic over and repair this

hope this helps regards JR

Rapid engine mis-fire code

Try changing the ignition control module IF replacing the cranksensor doesn't fix the problem. If the problem still persists check the injectors. They should test at 12V or higher. If they test lower... they need to be replaced. Newer injectors usually sit at around 14V. But start with the crank sensor...sounds stupid and little but it plays a major role in how well the engine runs.

Location of crank sensor on renault megane 1.6, 2004

bit confused...the cranksensor will be on the gearbox housing the camsensor will be near the cams not the gearbox if the camsensor has packed up it wont start but if it packs up while driving the engine will run untill you stop it then it wont start,a cranksensor could cause the engine to stop at anytime if it fails..your problem could be the idle air control valve or a timing related issue..
