If you turn your car key and get nothing, or get anything less than an engine roaring to life, you might be in for a bad day. Starting problems can be very frustrating because there are so many things under the hood that can keep a car from starting. Heck, pretty much everything under the hood can keep the car from starting.
In order to troubleshoot a no-start problem, you need to start at the beginning of the line, the battery, and work your way back. Some tests for a no-start problem are simple, others are a pain in the neck and a technical nightmare. Nonetheless, you need to figure out why the car won't start, so we'll try to help. If your key won't turn in the ignition

pulled both cables from both terminals steel wooled both of them and
the insides of the cables
same thing after tightening the cables back on the terminals

charged/jumped from my car after it ran for 15 minutes (connection was
good too!)

So, is this the starter? Starter solenoid? Something along those lines?
I'm so completely LOST as to where the starter is! I haven't been under
the car yet...so not sure...but I just really can't follow the lead
from the battery to...where IS the starter ANYWAY

Died on freeway and would not restart ? When you turned the key what happened ? Did the starter engage and spin the engine ? Or nothing happened . Why did you charge the battery ? Did you drain it trying to start it or it drained when driving the vehicle an it killed it ? Before replacing parts did you have it diagnosed or did you just replace parts ?

I have a 2004 dodge durango 5.7l with the hemi, won't start

I would start by checking the basics which are checking for spark and fuel. If you have a gauge, check to see if you have fuel pressure when the key is turned on. If you have fuel pressure, check for spark. Chrysler products are known for the crank shaft sensor to go bad and cause a no start. Also, if driving for a certain period with the pedal depressed at the same speed, the throttle position sensor will stay at that position if stuck and will cause either and driveability problem or stalling. You may wanna look into replacing or at least checking that. Good luck.

1997 mpv mini van runs great. While traveling i drove from SC to Atl GA....parked and went into motel for evening...the next morning i had very difficult time getting it re started....Like it was not...

I think you should check your battery and alternator. If they both check good you may have a battery draw, something draining the battery over night.Check your doors make sure they are closing like they should.
