The service light with wrench is for service vehicle and is on possibly because there is a burned out light bulb on the exterior. turn lights on and check every light even the license plate light. i bet there is a bulb out somewhere. check every light and hopefully this is the problem.

if the fog lights dont come on then there is a problem with either the headlight switch, fog light switch, or the bulbs. i have had a headlight switch go bad and i dont remember if that turned on the service light. the headlights or park lights have to be on for the fog lights to work. sorry, all i can say is check for power at the light socket with the switches on. hopefully that will help.

If your headlights or fog lights do not come on when selected, I would check the bulbs, if they are good then I would look at the harness wich runs under the battery. GM in all its vast knowlegde ran the harness between the frame work and the windshield washer tank, sguished the harness there causing schaffing and corrosion to the wires. I have repaired 4 sunfires this year alone with headlight or fog light problems and each time the problem was in that harness..

SOURCE: fogs lights are out, would that make the service light with the wrench come on

Good observation, yes it would. The service light is indicating there is a problem with the system that operates your fog lights.
It is generally one of three things. A dash switch, fog light relay or blown fuse. You can check the fuse in the fuse panel and make certain it is good. If it is OK, you can go to your local Auto Zone or Advance Auto Parts and they will scan your car for diagnostic codes at no cost to you.
Write the codes down and respond back, we will go from there.
Good luck, let me know.
Regards,

I can't get the oil filter off of a 2002 Pontiac sunfire. The space for my wrench is so small I can't get a good grip on it. Is there a special wrench I need or what do I need to do?

yes. There are special oil filter wrenches, and extensions for socket wrenches of various lengths. Go to most any auto parts store and ask them to assist you as many of these stores loan tools and expertise for no charge

I have 2005 Sunfire and my horn recently will start going on it's own. I'll hear a little clicking and then the horn starts randomly going off I had to remove the fuze for it to stop, how can I fix this?...

I would change the horn relay it is most likely the cuplrit, I will look into the CEL and get back to you, the light icon is telling you that you are running on driving lights. which is normal.

2003 sunfire wrench light on

Take it back to your mechanic, it may just be a connector that got bumped loose since the light was off before service.

Yellow wrench/service light is on no codes in system, dont have owners manual is this an oil life reset light?

I had the same problem... yellow wrench "service" light and a clicking noise on my DRL (daytime Running Lights) icon. I found no codes when I put my diagnostic computer on it. Turned out I had a headlight out. Replaced the bulb and everything is hunky dory now!
