Ok, the problem with the idle may be because of an obstruction that is located in your fuel filter. the obstruction in this device will restrict fuel flow through the lines that feed the carburetor. i would replace the fuel filter if possible and, use an additive with your next fill up to scrub the fuel system.

Concerning your ignition issue, these symptoms are what we see when an ignition switch is failing. The mechanism seems to be worn and, simply replacing the switch will fix this issue. this is what happens when the wire leds become worn and unable to hold there position.

And finally, the erratic dash lights are a Major sign of worn and lose wiring harnesses that are located within the dash. Considering the age of this vehicle, i would prepare for a complete re wiring job in the dash. i would replace the main harness. this will fix the light issue in the dash.

Please rate and god bless:)

Ok, if the fuel filter is not clogged, this may be a malfunctioning carb. It could be an vacuum leak or if this carb has an automatic choke, it may be sticking. i would inspect the choke linkage to make sure it is not sticking.

ok, check to see if there is a tare in the intake boot. this carb should have an electrical choke sensor and if its busted, you will have to rebuild it.

If the ignition switch isn't making a complete hit on the accessories led in the housing, it could affect the current flow into the electrical choke sensor in the carb.

I kinda doubt its the cause of the carb issue.

1978 gmc sierra sbc 350.. problems starting its been sitting for a while. I replaced the mechanical fuel pump but still doesn't run. I can pour gas in the quadrajet carburator and it will turn over and run...

If it runs when you pour fuel in the carburetor, then the problem is that the engine is not receiving fuel. (by the way, be careful, the carburetor may back fire and cause a fire). Disconnect the fuel line from the carburetor and place the end of the line in a bucket, then turn the truck over to see if fuel is flowing. If it is a mechanical fuel pump it should pump fuel into the bucket when the battery turns over the engine. If you had a lot of debris pop out of the carburetor, it should be taken off and cleaned. You may have had a bird or something else try and build a nest in it.

CARBURATOR OF NISSAN 1400 BAKKIE

the ball bearing will be a non return valve for the accelerator pump. When the pump is moved to suck in fuel from the bowl it lifts of the seat and when the pump is pressed down the force of the fuel closes it off and the fuel is squirted in to the manifold.

My RPM is not stable because my carburator is not clean...i want to clean it but i dont know how..will you please give me an instructions to clean my carburator?my car is honda vti 96 model. thank you

As i understand, all VTi´s had injected engines, but in case your particular model is carburated, my advice is: Take it to have it cleaned by a mechanic that knows carburetors. Have in mind that carburetors have a myriad of screws, jets and wires that might get lost or switched during reassembly. Furthermore, the jets, butterfly openings, floats and other devices require detailed, minute adjustments for proper functioning. All those adjustments are lost when disassembled for cleaning. Also, some rubber / plastic parts and seals will not withstand the acid bath, so a new kit must be included as well.

I need a 22R aisan carburator diagram so I can rebuild my carburator.

purchase the carburetor rebuild kit for your carburetor and it should have instructions in the box to aid you in rebuilding it . Remember , to do it correctly you must get an acid wash tank to submerge the entire carburetor body into before you install the new parts . And be sure to clean it thoroughly after you remove it from the acid dip tank .

How can you adjust the carburetor on a 1987 GMC safari van V-6

If the carburator has never been rebuilt, or the plugs that were installed at the factory have never been removed, you need to remove those plugs, there is one for each idle mixture screw, at the front of the base plate on the bottom of the carburator, 1 for the TPS adjustment on the driver side front of the carburator, and one for the mixture control solenoid on top of the carburator, in the middle, towards the front.

How to install 1988 chevy monte carlo rochester 4 barrel carburetor

You'll need to disconnect the fuel line at the front of the carburator. Disconnect the vacuum line at the back of the carburator going to the brake booster. Label and remove the vacuum hoses. Unplug the mixture control solenoid connector, the TPS connector and the connector to the automatic choke. Unbolt the 4 13mm bolts holding the carburator to the intake and remove the carburator.
