Replace the instrument panel, or inspect the connection for a loose wire. remove the front of the dash and you should be able to access the cluster there.

Car wont turn over battery is ok

Check the ignition wire under dash first to see if it gets power. If not then wiggle key while in ignition. Sometimes they go bad. Also check fuses.

When i switch on the car's heater i only get cold air blowing into the car. Air does not heat up at all.

The hot water tap in the heater core inlet is not opening. The most common cause is a broken or loose connection between the operating cable and the tap, or, at the back of the control dial on the dash.

Locate this tap on the hot water hose going through the firewall, and have someone operate the control dial inside. You will be able to see if the cable moves and if the connection clamp is loose.

If there is no movement the cable is probably broken.

Heater control valve located 1993 mercedes 190

Start simple, replace the dial as they often break on the back and wont turn the actuator when you turn the dial (like a broken doorknob). If its still a problem, then it gets complicated as you'd need to dig into the dash.

Intermittent dash board problems

sounds like you have a grounding issue possibly a main grounding location. inconsistant grounding of the vehicles control module will cause erratic behaviours. check under the hood for ground locations containing multiple grounds at 1 bolt location.if different "experts" have attempted repair and failed chances are they are all looking in the wrong place.dash{interior of vehicle}..actual cause.{egine compartment or under side of vehicle..ie...ground locations.}good luck and safe motoring:>

Key wont turn

Hi Deede
Sorry about your car.

When the lock fails, it's usually because it's not reading the key correctly. Obviously, try another key first. If that doesn't work, try spraying some WD40 inside the lock, not a lot, just enough to lubricate the tumblers. Then, gently (as if your thumb were in the way), tap the key with a hammer driving it deeper in the lock while you attempt to turn it. Do this repeatedly in fast succession without breaking the key...tap, tap, tap, tap, tap all the while trying to turn the lock and key.
If that does not work, then here is a link to instructions for step by step replacement from www.steeringcolumnservices.com

Good luck

I have a 2004 lincoln ls the car drove good i parked it one day and it sat for like 2 months when i went to start it nothing happened i put a new battery in it and all it does is the dash lights come on...

Need to check all the battery cable connections to ensure they are clean and tight. If this does not solve the issue, the starter may be bad. Have someone try to start the car while you tap on starter with a hammer. Sometimes, that will free up the starter drive and start the car. Tap firmly, but not with excessive force.

Car runs fine but after driving turn off engine sometimes it wont restart for hours

This sounds like a hot fuel pump issue. The pump is getting hot on the circuit and is cutting out.
