Question about 2001 Chevrolet Blazer

Fan velocity selector does not operate properly

The fan velocity (knob) selector of my 2000 Chevrolet Blazer does not work properly. It has six positions but from position 3 down the fan is off and does not blow any air at all so I am forced to keep the fan velocity from position 4 and up to have it blow.

Please, advice

Gus the reason it isn't blowing is becouse you are having a false contact on the blower switch. your best bet is to replace it with a new one or with one from the junk yard that looks ok.

Remove stuck ket from ignition on 2005 chev blazer

the problem is not in the ignition it is mostly on the gear selector knob. Might show that it is in Parking position and is not completely in.Push with your hand further in Parking and try to remove the key.If no success the ask from an expert to check it.

2001 blazer heater blows air from the dah only. when the selector is changed, the air doesn't flow to the floor or defroster. Temp control does work.

sounds like the air selector cable came of the door on heater box ,can't remember if there is a cable or a motor, they do the same thing. You need to check the door operation on the heater box

Automatic headlamps work during the day, but at night only highbeams, even using manual switch.

Your blazer has a total of six bulbs (eight if you have fog lights) . Two are low beam, two are high beam and two are daytime running lights. It sounds to me like your high/low beam selector switch is faulty. This switch, as you might know also controlls many other functions, so if you are not having problems with other things like cruise, wipers or blinkers, I'd make sure first that your fuses are all good and the bulbs are good also before tearing into anything.

The electric side mirrors on my blazer do not work so I cannot adjust them. Both sides do not function. I think they are power heated as well and that doesn't work either. Any ideas? I believe I checked...

I would start with making sure ur selector switch is not in the off postion just in case lol. next I would have to take door panel off get at the switch and see if you have power going to the switch this can be done with just a 12volt tester. Then if power is coming to switch operate see if power is going out, use selector switch to see if power goes out to left then try right mirror and for fun in off postion no power to either. the switch may just have a bad connection or broken because it is very douhtful both are bad but if the mirrors never get move they can seize up it a good pratice to more them every so often hope this helps get started in the right direction.

4x4 problems

What make, model, and year is your truck? Does it have AWD or just 4-wheel drive? What selector knob to you have for 4x4 (gear shifter or electrical switch?) Does your vehicle have limited slip or locking differentials? If you have an electrical selector with locking (limited slip) diffs and AWD, that is normal for it to automatically switch into 4x4 when you loose traction.

2000 chevy blazer my heater isnt working

Check temperature sensor, replace thermostat,And if you turn on the fan you should hear it and feel air from the vents,if the fan motor is working. If it's not working, check the fuse for the fan.

Heat only coming out of vents on my 2000 blazer

This is a bad selector swutch on your Blazer and it requires either a salvage yard part or a dealership part. Don't be surprised if it is a bad solenoid motor that switches the doors inside the dash as well these problems usually run together.
