In reverse there is no solenoid involve. so I think the servo seal or 2/4 band. look to 2/4 servo can be done without trans removal. have look to this; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YfPgBUH6Ru0

Does it just not shift up to 3rd or when it shifts to 3rd it is just like neutral?

i got a 1996 chev. blazer s-s10 4.3 engine 4x4.problem i got is i got 1st 2nd & overdrive & reverse but no 3rd gear what should i do

I say band adjustment in transmission, have done by shop. might be just a vacuum hose or modulator, but I don't think so

1997 chevy blazer transmission lunges forward in park,no reverse,and moves forward in nuetral
