Hello capybluebloo: The torque specs are as follows. Step one tighten to 10-12 ft.lbs. Step two is to tighten an additional 60-65 degrease. I checked two different shop programs and they both say the same. I hope you have access to a degree meter as the degree is very important. Here are the torque specs for the Nissan 1400 engine:
Main bearing cap bolts: 58-65 Nm (43-48 lb-ft)
Connecting rod cap bolts: 24-28 Nm (18-21 lb-ft)
Cylinder head bolts: 40-45 Nm (30-33 lb-ft)
Rocker arm shaft bolts: 20-25 Nm (15-18 lb-ft)
Flywheel bolts: 85-95 Nm (63-70 lb-ft)
Note that these are general torque specs and may vary slightly depending on the specific year and model of the Nissan 1400 engine. It's always best to consult the factory service manual for the exact torque specs for your engine.
main bearing cap bolts: tighten them in three steps, in sequence, to 67-74 ft. lbs. (90-100 Nm).
rods: Lubricate the threads with new engine oil and install the nuts, using the following procedure:
Tighten the nuts to 10-12 ft. lbs. (14-16 Nm).
Using a torque angle meter, tighten the nuts an additional 60-65°. If a torque angle meter is not available, tighten the nuts to 28-33 ft. lbs. (38-44 Nm).

NOTE: Use new connecting rod bearing cap bolts. NOTE: Do not fully tighten the connecting rod bearing cap bolts at this stage. Install the bearing caps.
Rotate the crankshaft through 180 degrees and insert pistons 2 and 3.
Position the corresponding bearing shells, clean and free of oil, into the connecting rod and the connecting rod bearing cap.
Coat the inner side of the bearing shells with engine oil.
NOTE: The crankshaft must rotate freely, if necessary check and adjust the bearing clearances. Tighten the main bearing and connecting rod bearing bolts.
Tighten the main bearing bolts in two stages.
Stage 1: 25 Nm.
Stage 2: 60 degrees.
Tighten the connecting rod bearing bolts in two stages.
