DIFFERENTIAL FLUID

If an auto trans, it uses ATF, say Dexron II.

If a manual it uses 75W-90 gear oil (AN GL-3 minimum), say Mobilube XHP 75W-90.

Changing transmission oil 1991 toy camry

OK auto. In that year the transmission fluid and differential fluid are not joined (although both are ATF), and have different drain plugs and fill points, so you have to identify them. First see here p 30 and p 54.

Note the transmission (but not the diff) is filled through the dipstick tube. It is convenient to buy the ATF (Dexron II or similar) in a container with a tube in the cap which will do this easily, or use a long necked funnel. The final check of the correct fluid level in the transmission is done with the engine warm, and RUNNING. Move the shift lever right down to 1 or L, then back up to P, before checking.
Then in a car this age it is worth checking the diff fluid level is OK as well. You may even want to change it at the same time, which is a good idea. It should be level with the bottom edge of the fill hole. Also good is the have a hand pump like this

Hi im trying to find where i put transmission oil in my 1990 toyota camry with an inline four

If you are talking about an Automatic Transmission, you pull out the Transmission dip stick and add the transmission fluid though that hole. The capacity for the 1990 Camry is 2.6 Quarts. THEN you have the differential section of the transmissioin. That takes 1.7 Quarts. The differential section has a plug at the bottom of the transmission to drain it and another plug on the side of the transaxle case to fill it. You fill it until it overflows out of the side hole. That is 1.7 Quarts. Both parts of the transmission take Dexron II transmission fluid. It is not the same as Dexron IV and is not backwards compatible. I use Royal Purple Max ATF for both parts of this transmission.

Where is the differential filler located in the 2003 toyota camry?

The transmission incorporates the differential so the trans filler tube will be the fill area you will use with trans fluid

On a standard 94 corrolla, is tranny fluid used or gear fluid and how much?

Depends. If it is manual transmission, gear fluid; if it is automatic, then automatic trans fluid. I guess you are asking abot differential fluid, right? Auto trans fluid go into differential and AT gearbox. Gear oil go into manual transmission and differential.
