My car is just Sputerring real bad and when i park the car it will shake worse and the car will die.But if i can keep speen goin like 20 mi a hour it wont shake as bad. I recently changed out my wires because i ripped one out on accident before changing the wires the car was fine. it was shaking mildly when i ripped the wire out on accident then i went home and it started to shake more. so when i woke up the next day i changed the wires and it got worse i didnt really check my spark plugs.But i changed them 2 oil changes ago.Could a spark plug really make my car act like this .what else could it be

Also, make sure the plug wires are on the plugs and are well connected.

SOURCE: Car started to act like it was running out of gas

Its posible it could be the cam shaft or crank shaft positioning sensor you may be better off renting a OBD 2 scanner and get a code that would get you closer to the problem.

SOURCE: 2004 chevy trailblazer shaking really bad in drive and reverse, check engine light is flashing ...changed spark plugs and coils but didn't help

could be a sensor...have it scanned...sounds like the problem....and good luck.

Sometimes that's caused by a vacuum leak near the manifold area.

Sometimes air in the coolant will cause an idle problem. Air will keep the air temp sensor from sending proper info.

You will cause the engine to go bad and have to replace if you keep driving,like a tooth ache,will get worst.

it sounds to me that #7 has a valve train problem, wiped cam to broken rocker arm,bent pushrod,broken spring,bent valve or burnt bad! Or it has broken ring on piston. shouldnt have kept driving,very bad idea. pull valve cover to check valve train. I would start there before going deeper into motor.

If the shaking has been progressively getting worse i would start by checking the engine and transmission mounts for rips or tears. Smelling fuel and major loss of power would suggest that you have a fuel leak somewhere. The sending unit its self is a culprit that can be hard to locate so if in doubt check it as well.

usually oil on a plug is the beginning of the end-especially for an older car. Your smoke is either from valve seals leaking (bad) or oil control rings (worse)-prepare to replace it in the near future.
