The diagnostic socket is behind a removable section of facia in the centre section of the dash. Locate the stereo, directly below, but just above the ashtray, you will see the cover, it just pulls off.

try looking under the dash next to the console LH side for a 16 pin data link or over near the door for a 2 pin plug that you short out the pins to turn on the MIL light to read the flashes.

OBD (On board diagnostic) connections are usually located near the bottom of the steering column. Your owners manual will identify the location for you.

LOOK UNDER STEERING COLUMN TO LEFT AT BOTTOM OF KNEE PIECE OF DASH SMALL BLACK RECTANGLE IF NOT THERE EITHER UNDER GLOVE BOX IN SAME MANNER OR IF YOUR RELAY BOX IS INSIDE GLOVE BOX THEN OPEN COMPARTMENT THROUGH YOUR GLOVE BOX AND LOOK THERE

If your looking for the diagnostic connector it is the same connector as the one you would use to scan for engine codes. It is located under the drivers side of the dash and is a standard OBDII connector.

The Data Link Connector (DLC) = diagnostic plug - for 2006 Audi Q7 is located under dash, lower left, near hood release handle.

All diagnostic plugs in newer cars and trucks are under the dash/ drivers side, could be in fuses, by the hood release, up by steering column, Keep looking you will find it

The fuse you are looking for is in the instrument panel fuse box #23 with a 20 amp fuse.
The instrument panel fuse box is located behind the instrument panel to the left of the steering column.
It also powers the power supply to the onboard diagnostic computer plug.
