It should be 5K miles, but it also has to be VW502.00 spec oil.

I have a 2004 audi a4 1.8t b6 engine. the orange/yellow oil sensor light flashes for a few seconds and then goes off. what could be the problem and what must i do to fix it

I assume u have been maintaining your oil & the proper amount is in the motor. If so it may be an oil pressure switch going bad. The oil switch must be replaced. It is mounted on the side of the engine block w a wire connector to it. Google exact location

Audi A4 3L oil sprayed out at a very fast rate. Can't drive car

You'll have to pinpoint the exact pace that the oil is spraying out from
the lines are cooling lines going to the front side of the radiator to a cooler,
if you had your oil changed recently, you may check that they did not forget the seal from the old filter that stuck to the engine when the removed it,, that is common, but doesn't happen to a seasoned cautious mechanic

The coolant level leaks on my 2004 a4, after i just had the hoses and all these other parts changed about two months ago. Could this have something to do with the the oil? What else can i do i h

Check the coolant temperature sensor housing in back of the engine. This is made out of plastic on some model years A4 and eventually leaks coolant.

My 2004 audi A4 consumes oil at a rate of 1 1/2 quarts every 3 months. There are no apparent leaks and it is not burning it. It idles and runs smooth. Any suggestions?

How many miles/km's you drive in those 3 month's ? oil consumption is normal ! Check when you first start the engine in the morning wetter or not you see a puff of blue smoke, if you see smoke , your valve seals are leaking.
1 liter oil each 2000km is normal.

2004 Audi A4 3.0 - Oil pressure Problem

well do you have documentation that you changed the oil every 4 thousand miles or less? If you do the the dealer should cover the expenses. If you did not do the oil changes as required or do not have the proof then the dealer is being more than fair as the failure would be because of your lack of maintenance.

Premature oil pump failure 04 A4 3.0 Quattro

Absolutely - the 1.8T engine is known for sludging issues. If they diagnosed oil sludge then your engine is covered no matter the mileage. The oil sludge builds up in the 1.8T no matter how well cared for it is, and the sludge can block the oil pickup screen on the oil pump (it's an extremely fine mesh), causing oil starvation and taking out the engine in the process.

Go to www.audiforums.com and do a search there for "oil sludge" and the information will come up. You can learn all about it there. But if your engine has the sludging, and you have receipts proving the oil was changed at the proper intervals, you will get a new engine free of charge - one of the members there is an Audi technician and I remember him posting that he'd changed out a 180k mile engine under warranty due to sludge.

Soulds like valve clicking noise for about a sec during startup the goes away. when I changed the oil and filter I heard the same thing once I started the engine to let oil circulate through engine

It's normal. When the car has sat, the oil drains down to the pan. On startup, you're starting an engine with no oil pressure (any car is like this), but once the pressure pumps up after a second or two, the noise goes away. Don't worry about this - it's normal.

Fault code 0562.oil level sensor light on dash display.sensor replaced dash still displaying oil level

I also have a 2004 Audi A4 3.0 Quatro and the low oil sensor comes on periodically. I pull the oil dip stick and put it back and it goes away. Maybe it will work itself out.
