Question about 1995 Chevrolet Tahoe

1 Answer

Turn signal clicking sound won't stop.

The turn signal "clicking" sound will not stop. The unit that controls it is located behind the dash about 6 inches in from the 4x4 shift knob. I removed most of the dash but still can't quite get to it. Note: the sound stops when the turn signals are activated or when the brake pedal is depressed. I thought it could be a short in a brake light or turn signal light. I checked them and they all work fine. Any ideas on cause or how to reach the small box that emits the noise?

My turn signals don't work when activated on my 99 Saab 9.5...what is the problem and how can I repair?

Do the indicators light up on the dash when switch is activated? If not possible fuse or electronic flasher assembly. Do you hear any click when first activated? If fuse good for signal lights, suspect faulty electronic flasher. This is normally located under the drivers dash area and can be a pain to locate. Sometimes they incoporate the 4 way flasher in the same unit. Turn on the 4 ways and follow the click sound. The flasher will control the signals and 4 ways or the flasher will be close to the 4 way flasher and look similar

Turn signal light right flash

flasher/blinker is busted. this is located under your dash board. remove steering column cover, turn on LEFT turn signal (yes, the one that is working), then you will hear a clicking sound. locate the relay that causes the sound. there you can see 2 relays (one for LEFT, other one for RIGHT turn),replace busted one.

Flasher relay in a 98 mercury grand marquis?

The fuse block the relay is located in is behind the knee bolster, the trim panel under the steering column, left of the steering column underneath the dash. Common source of problems if that does not fix it is the Light Control Module ( LCM), turn signal switch unit, headlight switch.

Turn signal clicker comes on randomly but doesn't affect lights

No the dash is the hazard light switch, it's also the turn signal flasher, dealer part only replace, replacing it will fix your problem. Feel the switch when you hear the clicking.

99 Grand Am Turn Signal Relay Actuates By Itself

This is a fairly common problem, to correct it you need to replace your flasher unit ($30) it is located directly behind the hazard light button on the dash.

NO TURN SIGNALS-BUT FLASHERS WORK

PROBLEM WAS FLASHER SWITCH WHICH HOUSES RELAY FOR TURN SIGNALS AND FLASHER UNIT--IT IS SOLID STATE AND WORKS WHEN YOU TAP ON IT--ORDERED ONE--IT SOUNDED LIKE A DIFFERENT RELAY BECAUSE SWITCH IS ABOUT 6 INCHES LONG AND EXTENDS BEHIND RADIO/CD/TAPE PLAYER--WHICH IS EASILY REMOVED (PUSH ON 2 SIDE TABS AND THEY POP OUT-GRAB THEM AND PULL ASSEMBLY OUT--PUSH RELAY OUT FROM BEHIND TOWARDS YOU--UNHOOK AND REPLACE--A 5 MIN REPAIR
