If the squeeking is happening over bumps, and is not related to breaking, it could be a bearing in the steering linkage. My tahoe is doing the same thing, and my local garage says it is only a dealer fix. That is why I am searching this site now, is to find out if anyone else is complaining about this. I was told that GM is fully aware of this problem.

If its not worn shoes or the the bearing gone bad, check the dust plate (protective plate to keep rocks and **** out of the brakes). They tend to rust out and bend and squeak from rubbing as the wheel turns.
Sometimes its more noticeable when turning.

Is the squeeking when you push the brake pedal, if so put some copper slip on the brake pads.
If the squeeking is when you go over bumps then its something to do with the suspention, i suggest you try to find the source of the squeeking by pushing the car down above each wheel, it could be something as simple as something rubbing against the strut or a faulty bush. Hope this helps you.

The only thing I can think of is the brake warning sounds that warn you that your brake pads are getting worn out. They are little metal fingers that rub on the brake disks when the pads are low. That should make the noise in the summer too but I don't know for sure about that. You could ask your mechanic about it.
hope this helps.

Bad sqeeking while driving nd turning 1997 chevy blazer

Sounds like it could be the brake pad indicator. When the brake pads start to go bad there is a small mettle lip that makes a sound to warn you before they get too bad and fail.have them checked.

Squealing/Squeaking upon stepping on the brakes(maybe was doing it a little while ago and is not now). May hear a slight grinding noise. May see an abnormal amount of black dust around your rim.... You could just take off the wheel and inspect or look through the holes in the rim to see it...

Just changed all brake pads and rotors on 2004 Buick Lesabre. There is a noice like a brake pad noise at partial pressing of brake petal. Is worse after traveling about 10 to 15 minutes

If it's just a slight squeak and then it goes away then it's probably brake dust. Some aftermarket brake pads will still squeak depending on what pads you got. It's a good idea to go with ceramic pads that have a cut down the center of the pad and the ends are chamfered. This will help disperse the brake dust and minimize any squeaking.

Might be brake dust or shocks. Easy fix for brake dust, just take air hose and blow around all wheels to blow off brake dust. Some cars are worse than others.

I have a 2004 Chevy 4x4, regular cab, Z71

Check the dust shield on the brake rotor's. There known to warp due to the heat of the brakes and will rub against the brake rotors or rim it self. Good luck and hope this helps, the other thing to that would create the squeak is low brake pads indicators rubbing against the rotors and it's time for new brake pads.
