The panel surrounding the radio just pulls or snaps out and look for any screws underneath and along the borders first. Once the surrounding panel is removed, you'll see a few screws holding the radio, along with the wire plugs behind it.

this is a comon problem on fords including most taurus and others ,ford had a recall too on that ,you need to drop sterring colum down in some model remove steering wheel too but not all when tou get the new shifter it as intructions

there is one bolt at the upper door hinge that only can be removed by removing the complete dash off.
I would call your local body shop for help on this.
to save you a big expense with replacement, if you get some polishing compound you can polish the lenses to almost new condition depending on how bad they are.
