Sure sounds like a throw out bearing having too much room. Might need adjustment.

Have a 2009 elantra touring manual transmission. it makes low noise from the transmission, when in neutral. as soon as i hit the clutch the noise disapears.what could it be? thanks

The thrall bearing may be worn out. It sits on the clutch fork. When you step on the pedal, the fork pulls the bearing away from the clutch "fingers", taking the load off the thrall bearing.

If my legacy goes in gear when not running can it b the throw out bearing I notice it make noise then ges away when I step on clutch

Probably the clutch plate too. The throw out shouldn't make any noise at all. Time for a clutch job with a throw out bearing too.

Humming noise coming from transmission when its in neutral. push the clutch in and it stops. suppose to be a new clutch also it runs great but if you lift the rear end off the ground the wheels will s

A noise in neutral that goes when the clutch is disengaged indicates a front input shaft bearing in the gear box . When the clutch is out that shaft is spinning along with the cluster shaft in the gear box. When the clutch is in that shaft stops (to engage first gear) and the bearing is no longer working.. It normally means a box out job.

95 gmc sierra k1500 4x4 5spd manual noise

the leak is probably a separate issue from the noise. is the leak very bad? can you tell if it's engine oil or transmission lube/fluid? most likely the rear main bearing seal needs replacing. the noise is most likely the clutch release bearing. you should replace all components of the clutch assembly which include; clutch plate, pressure plate, release bearing and piolot bearing. also have the fly wheel resurfaced. while the trans is out, you can check the rear main seal and the trans input shaft seal and replace accordingly.

I have a 98 Subaru impreza 2.2 awd drive and i just replaced the clutch . Now, when i let off the gas the car makes a quite clicking sound from the front . any idea on what could cause this

Hello, the only thing I can recommend is to double check all of the trans mount nuts and bolts and the trans subframe bolts for looseness. This is usually the most common cause for that type of concern.
