I have a 2008 Chevy Cobalt LT. It got flooded due to rain. Now it won't start. Does something shut off? Is there something we have to automatically do in order for it to start up again?

the only way you can damage your alternator is to not properly ground your amplifier get a bigger battery a optima deepcycle (Yellow one) battery will help so you can use it with out turning your vehicle on.

Won't stay running

Crank positions sensor might be broke due to collision. Sensor is on the front of the engine at the crank cover. It is what tells the coil pack as to what cylinder to fire in, since the newer engines start on any cylinder instead of only No. 1.

It sounds like there is something very major wrong with your ride. I think it would have something wrong with the fuse box or computer system.
