If you have general knowledge and take your time, it's possible to do. mark everything....every wiring harness, coupler, hose. everything. then you can match up to new engine. Take your time, and you could get a Chilton's manual for the car and it would about walk you through it (if you know a bit about cars)....find a buddy to help too, buy the beer make a day of it (make sure he's one of those car guys).

Cant any one Help me my car over heats and After a few minutes i get water leak from the Deposit

sounds like you have a cracked head or a blowen head gasket, take the small black hose that is connected to the filler bottle (coming from the radiator cap) and put the end of the hose from the filler tank in a half full bottle of water make sure the end of the hose is under the water, start the engine and run for about 5 to 10 minutes, if there are bubbles coming from the hose this will tell you the head has a crack in it or you have a blowen head gasket. take it to your mechanic for repairs

After driving half a mile my 1998 vw polo open air started smoking from engine stopped car and noticed oil on parts that wasnt there previous have not noticed oil underneth before this insident also has...

Was the smoke white? if so it is probably your head gasket you can still save it if you want as long as the head isnt cracked as well then it probably just isn't worth fixing and from the sounds of it sorry to say but I cant be sure with out seeing it

If this car needs head gasket is it worth buying

A head gasket repair is major work, not worth it unless the car is really nice and dirt cheap. One side note is that if this car has the 3.1 or 3.4 liter engine they are notorious for intake gaskets leaking that will have alot of the same symptoms as a head gasket but its alot less work to repair. Good luck!

Would my car still run if i had a blowen head gasket? it blew ati-freeze out the tail pipe but ppl that had it before me had a hole in the radiator and put sealer in it.so some are tell me it might nit be...

Blown head gasket if antifreeze is coming out from the tail pipe and yes the engine will still run, but not for long. Antifreeze is corrosive to the crank shaft bearing and will cause you a new engine if engine keep running with antifreeze mixed with the oil.

Leaking head gasket

YES! Anti freeze can cause the pistons to sieze in the block & require major machining or wearing it to the point of needing more than just a gasket, you could end up needing an entire engine. The repairs need to be made immediately & the oil system will need to be flushed as part of the repair process if only the head gasket is replaced. good luck

Loosing water and its going into the engine

That sounds like a blown head gasket at best or a cracked cylinder head at worst. Try doing a compression test to determine which cylinders are affected, but its going to be a big job either way.

Engine?

not sure what the sound was, but if there's a blown head gasket, the water that gets in a cylinder won't compress and it won't turn over very well and sometimes not at all. that may be what they mean by "holding compression".

check for water in the oil...it'll foam up on the dipstick,

Get a second opinion from a reputable shop other than Ford.... If it's a head gasket, it's much cheaper than an engine swap, if that's what you're thinking...
