Most of them use air service brakes and trans park brake.
Can you give a few details as to what the brakes look like.

2013 Freightliner engine code SFQ 49 fail 31 engine losses power affects steering and brakes

the code is manufacturer specific so you will need to contact a freight liner service dealer to find out what it refers to
as the power steering is affected by low engine rpm and the brakes by low air pressure from a slow running compressor , it is logical to say that it is an engine control sensor problem but as it is vehicle specific , that would make it engine specific so contact the engine service dealer as well if Freightliner is of no help

2000 peterbilt. Why no power on hills?

diesel engines that has a power loss , (1) ck you fuel filters fuel pumps and make sure its getting all the fuel pressure , sometimes the lift pump goes and its runs only on the injector pump (but with no power ) second ck your air intake filters , ck your intake hoses , follow it all the way thru the turbo to the intake , look for cracks in flex connectors and missing clamps

also if your needing a pulling truck id look for a slightly larger engine for this one , as I do belive this engines only rated for about 312 hp and that's at about 22oo rpm !

this engine is common to find in medium sized earth moving equipment

Sounds like you have other issues. I would check the connector and its wiring. I have seen many have melted from the inside of the connector and not make proper connections. Otherwise you may have broken wire issues elsewhere. and need to hunt down and need wiring diagrams on where powers route is.

I have a 2001 GMC Sierra. My truck has the shakes when I hit the brakes. I have put brand new rotors on the front and it still does it. Can the rotors on the back cause the shakes as well? The brake pads...

That is usually caused by warped rotor discs. I know you said you just put on new ones, but has anyone put new tires or removed and replaced wheels on your truck. I have seen in the past, when they overtightin the lug nuts it warps the rotors.

All mechanics I have seen installing wheels have over torqued them.

I've just bought a second hand c120 freightliner truck and when I turn key on the alarm comes on , this is not the low air alarm . How do I turn alarm off.

do not disconnect the alarm ask a local mechanic to have a look for you ,could just be a faulty switch but it could also mean a low air pressure to the brake treadle valve ,

2000 olds bravada rear brakes are draging. changed brake hose's to calupers and the center hose as well. with new brake and rotors still draging not sure what to do next.

I also have this problem on my 2000 Bravada - replaced all rotors and back calipers, brand new brake pads, new system and my rear caliper STILL chewed up a brand new brake pad in one week down to the metal. Checking for an emergency brake issue at this point - if anyone has any suggestions about how to unhook the E Brake, please share!
