    Hello Mr Brown;

    Well, thank you for getting back to me quickly....But let me give you the run down....I start the car up and let it run for about 5-10 minutes...The engine reaches the tempature between 195-210 and not one of the radiator fans turn on to cool the engine tempature back to normal reading.....I checked both plugs in the radiator fans for voltage and power....I hot wired both fans from the battery to both fans and they turn that means the fans are good...I checked all fuses they are good also.....I checked the relays and changed them also, they are good.....SO what is happening here is that the radiator fans to coll the engine down are not coming on....The haynes book says somethign about a tempature fan cooling sensor, but they is no location to be found....The thermostast is good...There is no temperture sending unit anywhare that I can see.....So the question here is what can be the problem and is there any diagram or detail info on where this 2-items can be located or is this a PCM problem or what.....That is as clear as I can explain to you the problem I'm having....

    Thank you for taking your time in helping me on this...But I'm not to familiar with cadillacs...I undertsand they have alot of sensors...

    I will check at work on a diagram for that temp sensor. and write you tom. if you havent found it yet.. but the places you can look are the actual radiator. usually on an corner or side of the tanks. follow the upper radiator hose and see to the engine and see if there is any sort of sensor. 99% of cars usually have the thermostate were the upper hose goes. and usually the temp sencer is located there. usually a two wire plug in. sometimes three for the temp gauge. look around there and let me know. Ill still look at a couple diagrams for you

I ment a 2002 Cadillac sevile SLS won't go into reverse??

If the vehicle will not go into reverse, you are having a transmission issue. Check transmission fluid level and condition. If fluid level is correct but fluid is burnt or watery, immediately have fluid and filter changed but don't expect a miracle... it may or may not fix the issue.
You may be looking at the need for a transmission rebuild.

Display says it is running at 190 degrees is this safe? 1995 Cadillac Seville

Yes. Mine tends to run in the low two hundreds and will sometimes get to 225 before cooling down. I was told that this was they way they ran due to the aluminum engine. I have no idea whether it is true or not, but what I do know is that I have read countless forums from new owners asking about this, including myself at one point, and all the experienced owners tend to say,"Don't worry about it, this is how they run."
If you haven't already search 95 sls temperature. Try this one for starters:

1998 Cadillac Seville SLS with overheating problem. Head gaskets repaired!! cost me 4K, all hoses checked and look good, belts replaced etc etc. Still overheats!! The cooling system (heating/AC) is acting...

did you change your thermostats there is one on the motor and on radiator. i have a toyota and was told my motor was shot it was overheating and loosing coolant my prob was water pump and the radiator filler pipe had a pin hole in it. if you do not have water in your oil or oil in the rad then it is probabnly not the head . also if the fin on your radiator are bent you may need too change radiator..Also your radiator fan may not be working, you can hook direct or buy a new fan relay sensor that plugs in at the bottom of raiator, you can check this by getting motor hot and see if fan kicks on

Overheating of 1998 SLS.

Fix the fan first because it causes overheating. Follow with radiator flush. If not, you will need to check the pump.

Cooling fan wont kick in

Could be the FAN MOTOR, COOLING FAN TURN ON SENSOR, even the PCM. There are 2 fuses . Also check fuse panel under hood in engine compartment

Cadillac 2002 seville overheating

first i would want to make sure that the fans themselves are in good working order!! You can unplug the fan and run a live wire from the battery to the fan and a ground wire to the fan and see if it is working!! if you have nothing then your fan might be burnt up or the fan is trying to come on but it is so weak that it isnt doing the job the car requires
