Question about 2005 Ford Mustang
After my car is off, no keys in the ignition. The far right tail light stays lit... freakin me out. What could it be before my light burns out? Could the bulb be on the way out and its my cars way of telling me?

I remove back cover by pulling directly (straight) down.......It has no screws, that was what was a little confusing.......

SOURCE: replace tail light bulb
open hatch, look for two screws, remove , push tail light gently back and forth to release from clips pull light assembly out , twist bulb socket to remove from housing, replace bulb.

This is almost correct...instead f straight back pull straight out from the side, right light, pull to the right, left bulb, pull to the left.

on the backside of the light there should be a plastic access panel that you can gently pull off with a small flat-bladed screwdriver and then get to the light bulbs. if not, look for a small recess on the side of the lens cover itself.

Probably either a bad ground (broken wire, rust) or a bad headlight switch. The brake light circuit goes from the stop switch (Located up above the brake pedal) through the headlight switch, through the light bulbs to ground. The tail light circuit goes through the headlight switch, through the bulbs and to ground. The only things that are in common are the headlight switch (Is this the switch you replaced?) and ground.
Not much, but hope this helps.
Have a super day!
