When turn on headlights, wipers go on

Just put a new engine in my wrangler. when I turn the headlights on, the wipers automatically goes on too. any ideas?

Youve pinched the wiring harness and ceated a short youll have too trace it probly right at the fire wall,look for and indentation in the wiring cover !!!!

Jeep 2007 Wrangler Unlimited X 4x4 4 Doors


Sounds like a short in the electrical system. Maybe even just a loose ground wire. On the other hand...It could just as easily be a bad ECM (BRAIN)! Warranty still in tact? I hope so. Diagnostic at a certified Jeep shop... Good Luck!

2008 wrangler 4 door. windshield wipers are stuck


2008 should be under warranty, take it back to dealer.

With all of the electronics on vehicles today, seems like these sort of system failures are becoming commonplace.

U will need to replace the switch for wiper and turn signals, there is a broken contact inside the switch.

Have you checked the tightness and/or tried replacing the alternator/drive belt? I have an 89 cherokee and I had the excat same problem .. I replaced my alternator drivebelt and wala .. fixed .. Crayz
