Question about 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee
The Heater Core is buried under the dash inside the air exchanger box. Things I removed to get to it:
Steering column with wheel attached Center Console Radio Moulding that runs up next to the windshield sides. THE DASH!!! The inner Dash the air exchanger - disconnect hoses from under the hood, two water hoses, and one vacuum Unbolt core from air exchanger
That took about 6-8 hours with the Factor service manual at my disposal. Then I had to put it all back together again. Total time around 12 hours of work.
Probably impossible without the factory service manual and a lot of patience.

Under the hood rh side ( passngr ) split the heater boxes r&r as required
