Your a/c control panel is all electronically controled through actuators. i believe the mode actuator is located on the driver side of the heater box.

You may have a disconnected control cable, either on the back of the control assembly or at the flap. More information about the car make and year would be useful.

hello, sounds like the cable broke or, lots of newer veichels use air lines, any way possible, check and see if air lines are still hooked up to the back of the heater controls, should be 4or 5 air lines together, all hook on one place behind heater controlls

I HAVE A 2001 DODGE DURRANGO THE DEFROSTER IS NOT BLOWING ANY AIR OUT OF TOP OF DASH BUT SEEMS TO BLOW OUT OK ON ALL VENTS AND FLOOR

it sounds like the switch lever for the vents, floor and defrost is not switching the vent door that goes to the defroster hose. You need to pull the switch consol out loose from the dash and follow the cable for the defrost that goes to the hose for the defrost. You might also have a broke switch that won't pull the cable enough to open the air for the defrost hose.

The air vent cotroler does not work in my Hyundai Elantra 2003 model

There is a switch down on the floor by where the gas pedal is. Reset that switch, until the problem fixes itself. If it does not fix itself that way, you can follow the wire up to the vent controller. This will involve you taking off the cover panel in the middle of your dashboard. There only a few screws and it's really easy to remove. You will also have to remove the panel from where your shifter is. Place the E-brake on then pull the shifter down as far as it will go to get the panel out far enough to see behind it. Now you can see if the wires became disconnected from the vent controller. This all works, as I had the same problem. Just make sure when putting the panels back together that you do not pinch wires. I did this and it caused me to have no dash lights, and I had to do it all over again! Hope this helps.
