Idle fluctuates fast then slow. Knocks at 30-40 mph. gas mileage down

replace fuel pressure sensor

Keep in mind that Traction Control applies the ABS to the individual wheel when it spins too fast, slowing it down to the speed of the other wheels so that it can gain traction.

Bad gas, bad sensor - take to auto parts store to read codes. Plugged cat.

My first guess would be the MAF sensor. It is located on the breather tube I believe right after the air intake filter. Try unplugging the MAF sensor plug and see if you notice a difference. If you do-you will obviously need to replace the sensor. Dont think you can just leave it unplugged and not buy a new sensor either because your gas mileage will take a serious plummet...im talking like 7-10 mpg at best. Good luck!

Dont stick the pump nozzle all the way in. Just put it half way and it wont deactivate till you fill up. Good luck

Change/thoroughly clean the idle control solenoid. It may be sticking and causing rough idling.
Cleaning it is unlikely to be more than a short-term solution.
