Question about 1998 Pontiac Bonneville
I replaced the MAP sensor on my 1998 bonneville 3.8l v6 today. I broke the clip that holds the sensor in place. what is the name of the part that the MAP sensor slides into?
Its a bracket...However, the map sensors life does not depend on the clip and a simple tie wrap or plastic strap will adequately hold it in place...may look a bit "backyard" but you'd be surprised how many similar items are attached in that way without any problems. If you need it to look "factory" get whatever you need from any local junkyard...likely they will charge $5 or less for it!
