I have a 2000 Chevy 3500 and am in need of a color diagram for the plug on the back end that a trailer would hook up to. It is a 7 pin trailer plug and it does not have a black wire. it has the following colors:

    White-ground

    yellow-left turn/brake

    brown-running lights

orange-hot lead for 12 volt battery

    green-right turn/brake

light green-I believe is for reverse

blue-I believe is for electric brakes

I can not find a color chart to tell me if this is correct or not.

    Thank you for your time

look just check them wire by wire with a test light as the different lights are turned on, it's not brain surgery here.

    JL,

The list I posted also includes the pin number on the plug. This should help. I'll see about a Pic in case they are unreadable.

Remove a rear fiber glass fender on a 1 ton 2006 Silverado dually

Some of the newer vehicle use glue instead of spot welds or bolts. It has to be heated to like 500 degrees and then separated with a tool like a putty knife. Maybe use a heat gun if that's the case.

Wiring diagram

If you are going from a 4 pin on your trailer to the 7 pin on the truck. You need to go to parts store or a department store (ex Wal Mart) and look in trailer section and find the adapter. Thats what I did. Also Remember if your lights don't work on trailer, check the plug to make sure its tight or check the fuse under your drivers side rear seat for that fuse box.
