Where do you put the jumper on the fan relay? We replaced the sensor and the fan still doesn't come on. In addition, the AC compressor doesn' engage either.

is it overheating? fan is not designed to come on until around 230 degrees Fahrenheit, that is more than 3/4 to hot zone on gauge.

Two things to check. The fan relay, and the coolant temperature sensor. There may be two sensors, the two wire one is for the computer hence for the ran relay. Buy a haines manual at your local auto parts store. This will help you find what you are looking for, and its only about 15 bucks.

Alternatively you can put a jumper accrss the fan relay to make the fan run whenever the engine is running.

Does the car overheat at idle? If yes, first check fuse in fusebox in engine compartment. If fuse good, check for voltage at fan connector using test light with engine on and car hot. If no voltage, replace fan relay in engine compartment fusebox. If voltage is present, replace fan. Please reply with any additional questions.

Coolant fan does not engage and sc1 over heats.engages only when ac is on

have someone check the fan relay, or the wire that goes to the thermostat housing, pull the plug off the stem and if the fan comes on, replace that stem within the housing.

You can buy an aftermarket fan kit that will fix that problem. Factory fan is garbage.

Get an aftermarket fan kit and you should be good to go!

The ects in located on the drivers side up towards the top and into the side of the block has a small 2 wire plug, make sure when you buy this that you tell them sensor and not switch as they look the same,do this with the engine cool, remove the coolant tank cap to relieve pressure and coolant loss will be very small.
