Question about 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer

1 Answer

2004 mitsubishi turning itself off.

I was driving my car and it was fine. Then it just turned itself off. I have a brand new battery and just had it inspected less than a month ago.
I tried to turn it on and it went and then turned off again. Then after a few mintues it started back up, but now I am worried to drive it.

I have a 2004 lancer Es when I turn the aircon on after 15 minutes of driving I cant change the gears the aircon works fine but renders the gears useless and have to turn it off to continue to drive

There is no relationship between the air conditioning system and the gear box in the vehicle.

The engine operates the aircon compressor via the serpentine belt from the crankshaft pulley and if the aircon is operating normally the aircom compressor will not be faulty either.

If you are having problems with the gearbox it has nothing to do with the aircon system. The issue will be with the gearbox itself.

I have a 2004 Mitsubishi Galant. About five times now when I am turning from one street onto another street the battery light comes on and the steering wheel locks up. I have to stop the car, turn it...

Check your engine belts to see if they are loose or need replaced. You could have a pulley or tensioner locking up. get that looked at asap, the belt will eventually come off and leave you stranded.

Vehicle running fine. came out of work to drive. would not turn over, and odometer flashing like crazy

Your battery has failed and requires replacement.

Typically when you start getting the heiroglyphic flashes on the odometer it usually means the battery is too low to even jumpstart.

2004 Dodge Neon - Engine died, coasted to stop, and won't restart. Not even a click. Brand new battery, clean terminals, fuses good, starter relay good. Radio and lights work. Power windows work fine.

Does the starter turn the engine over,or not?Or is the engine not running when you turn the ENGINE OVER AND OVER? If there is no starter turning on the car, then check for a start,or main fuse to see if one is blown. Also look for a fusible link burned into.It will look like a wire, but if it is burned into, you can pull the link apart like taffy. It will either be on the starter with the battery cable,or on a positive cable junction near the battery. If I can help, let me know.
