Got in car started it and it ran fine for a few minutes then all of a sudden it stopped. bought new distributer and they say there is still no fire. Does the ecm control the fire on these cars?
The main relay is usually the culprit! Its located driver's side under dash uaually bolted with one bolt to the steering colunm. Hope this helps! by the way this controls spark and the fuel pump as well.

check your v-tec solenoidgasket mine was doing same thing it will not leak alot unless your driving it a high rate of speed and u will dump oil and not even notice it..
the 1998 accord has a recall on the ignition switch that sounds like the problem go to car fax to see if your vin number is among teh ones being recalled if not you might have to pay for anew one
