Is $100 reasonable? Can you suggest any alternatives to diagnose problem?

You can get a PC to .....-bus adapter cable for anything around $100 either packed with free software alongside or you can download some, then just connect your notebook to the car...
But is it worth the hassle? You can diagnose it on an empty wet parking place or a country road or anything slippery, even fine gravel. The point is to be able to block the wheels by sudden braking at not too dangerous speeds. What do you feel?
1. Do the wheels just block and the car keeps slipping? Then your ABS is out of order(as the control light already suggests)
2. Or do the wheels only block for a short time, resulting in a kickback from the pedal, getting a grip, then blocking and kicking back again?(of course you have to brake mercylessly) If yes, your ABS is effective, however requires inspection.

If you want to look for another shop, just think it over if it's worth the time for a mere say $10 off.

You might also consider if ABS is a thing you can't live without. If you live in a snowy northern area, then no question go get it done!

no way Murphybanton! You have no clue, right? He's not cleaning anything. It' electric diagnosis through the car's bus. Stop writing random **** if you know nothing about it.

As I mentioned in my previous post:
$100 is definitely not the best price, but acceptable, as there's no reasonable substitute and it's not worth looking too far, cause the price is not bloodily over.

    rate please (fixya)

$100 is okay as the job is quite technical. he has to work on the brakes wherein he has to unbolt and clean all areas. In my area it costs about $225.

Great deal pal.

I replaced brakes calipers and roters abs light still on?

Most common reason for the ABS light to come on is going to be a wheel speed sensor. Now that being said I cannot say this is going to be your problem with 100% certainty.

In order to give you a 100% answer we will need to know what code(s) the computer has stored.

To do this you will either need to find a friend with a scan tool, or have a shop scan the vehicle for you.

If your can is older then 1996 and it should have an OBD1 connector and you can use my tip found here: to retrieve the code.

Then we can give you some suggestions on how to diagnose from there.

The hill descent, abs and tracking lights have come on two times within the last week. They come on while driving and will not come back on when the engine is started.

Suggests either Wheel Bearing, ABS Sensor Fault, or Shuttle valve. Best to get it to a dealer and on the computer for them to diagnose what exactly is wrong.

ABS light on 1999 Fored Expedition

There is a problem with the ABS (Anti-Lock Brakes). Unless you have the knowledge to diagnose and repair this problem I suggest you seek help from a trusted mechanic or your Volvo dealer. Your ABS may not be working correctly but your normal brakes will still work.

Are you using a gel based battery?
Sounds like an overload on the charging system screwing the whole electronics of the car.
If not - get it diagnosed at a dealership.

92 Jaguar XJ6 stalls after breaking

First and foremost I would demand the dealer to access the situation since I assume you paid them to fix the problem. This sounds like an electronic issue between the transmission and the idle switch. When you brake with an auto transmission it downshifts thus adjusting the rpms to compensate. If this is malfunctioning it could very well stall it..
