The little snorkle you speak of i believe to be battery vent has a little part that swings up put your fingers in there and pull up wiggle&jiggle it as you do and it will pop rite out then you will have free access to the air box.

Remove the small cover on the passenger fuse access compartment found near the door post upper near the glove box then you see two Philips Screws on the side after removing the fuse cover passenger side. Then you will see two of three more screws facing you as you sit forward to remove yet another cover exposing the cabin air filter . Clean out the housing with a damp clean cloth. 1994 Accord: where is the location of the air filter in a 1994 ...

Follow the plastic ducting from the top of the engine forward to a square or rectangular shaped box. The filter should be here. Thumb clips or other fasteners,(usually 4) will hold the lid on. Remove the lid and the filter should pull right out.
If you still can't get it, take it to Pep boys or auto zone. They will do it for you (free), in the parking lot and you can see how it goes.

Where is the air filter and how to replace it?

Six cylinder:
The air cleaner element is inside the air cleaner housing on the left side of the engine compartment. (It has a large hose connected to it).

To replace it: Disconnect the hose from the air cleaner housing cover with flat-tipped screwdriver.

Loosen the four bolts, and remove the air cleaner housing cover.

Remove the old air cleaner element.

Carefully clean the inside of the air cleaner housing with a damp rag.

Place the new air cleaner element in the air cleaner housing.

Reinstall the air cleaner housing cover, and tighten the four bolts.

Connect the hose to the air cleaner housing cover with a flat-tipped screwdriver.

Hope this helps you.
