Question about AMC Eagle

I can not find flasher for turn signals, turn signals do not work anymore !!

Can you tell me where I can find the turn signal flasher for a 1986 AMC Eagle Wagon ? The Hazzards still work and I found the flasher for that !!! The turn signals, when they did work, kind of just glitched instead of a constant flash, but now they do not work at all !!! ROCKY @ MODEL CARS READY

It is located either under the fuse panel or is in the instrument panel. The one that is actually attached to the fuse panel is for the hazards. Kind of a dumb place to put the turn signal flasher when there's an empty slot in the fuse panel where it could be placed. Most cases that I have found the flasher has been right in the cluster. Same for my 78 Concord.

Can you please tell me where is the turn signal flasher on a 1986 oldsmobile cutlass supreme brougham

On 1980 and later models, both the turn signal flasher and the hazard flasher are located at the lower left hand and the upper right hand corners of the fuse block respectively. Remove these by pulling them from their connectors.
The lower dash panel may have to be removed to gain access to the unit.

1986 oldsmobile cutlass turn signal not working anymore...emergency flashers work brake lights work just not turn signals

OMG. Someone with a car older than my '87 toyota. Possibly a bad switch, but first locate your turn flasher, maybe that is bad, easier to try than another switch. Turns should have a fuse, too. check that.

When the blinker is flipped up or down on the column the tail lights dont respond. But the brake lights and the hazards still work fine. Whats the problem?

The turn signal flasher relay may have a problem.Turn on the hazards and follow the clicking sound to the source and usually the hazard flasher and turn signal flasher are very close to each other.Remove the one that is clicking and put it in place of the turn signal flasher. If the Turn signals then work you will need to purchase a new turn signal flasher relay. They are usually just a few dollars.

2004 wrangler blinker problem

What other problem did you have before the signals quit? Something that stopped all functions from the signals has to be either a feed or ground IF the flasher is good. Signals feed. Hot wire from the flasher 1 and it should blink underload, but not with a test light or DVM. In other words using a test light the flasher wire should be powered steady. All the rest of the switch is switchable. You should also get a hot wire when the brake pedal is pushed. Check for power at the brake switch, key off.
