2002 dodge durango wont shift out of park

Put your foot on the brakes and have someone see if you have brake lights. This has a shift interlock that uses the brake lights to complete the circuit that unlocks the shifter from park. You can bypass this saftey feature by applying brake, engine off key off and moving shifter to neutral then starting the engine Dont forget to fix your brake lights !!

The lights on my 2002 Dodge Durango started flickering, as well as the dashboard lights. The doors started to lock and un-lock themselves. And the back windsheild wiper went off by itself.

the first thing i would check is the ground cable from the battery to the engine and the strap from the engine to the frame, also check battery voltage with car running, if you need more help get back to me as i strive to be the best, please rate my fix Tkanks Ray battery voltage should be over 13.6 volts

Check to see if you are getting fuel pressure. If you can not hear the fuel pump run with the key in the on position then it is bad. If you are getting the right fuel pressure then you should check the spark

THEROMSTAT/ 2002 DODGE DURANGO???

make sure engine is cool then drain coolant by opening the drain plug at bottom of radiator. remove cap from radiator so coolant will continue to drain and when coolant is down enough to pull off upper radiator hose at intake then close drain, then remove two bolts at coolant housing and remove thermostate. clean gasket material from intake and housing and replace with new gasket and thermostate tighten bolts install hose fill rad with coolant water mix 50/50 and run engine with heat on floor until gets hot and you see coolant flowing in rad, install cap
