Question about 2001 Nissan Maxima
My temperature gauge was moving up and down (below 1/2 to 3/4). I had radiator replaced 8 months ago and fan motor replaced several months ago. so we replaced the thermostat and it went to 2/3 the next day and the overflow resevoir was full while hot almost like it was boilling. it went down but i'm driving to vegas for my kids competition and i'm afraid to take it on the trip. i heard about these air pockets on several sites and it may need bleeding. i'm a 48 year old single mom and don't have a savings for these kind of things. any suggestions??? please help:)
2001 nissan maxima gxe overheating. replaced the radiator & bottom thermostat, still over heats in the summers after driving about 50 mins on the highway.flushed the whole system, still overheating. my oil is clean and reservoir evaporates when over heats, but IS running. any ideas?

It sounds like the the thermostat that was replaced is probably faulty. This being the cheapest and easiest to do I would start there. I can't reply about the air pockets. I have never heard of that before.
