Question about 2006 Peugeot 405
Right I have sorted the problem ,I can tell you exactly what it is ,
On the right hand side of the radiator down the bottom there is a plug and socket ,which runs the cooling fans for your rad .
this plug and socket is susceptible to the ingress of water ,and basically causes the wire to short across causing the problem .
If you have caught yours in time you may be able to clean out the crud and spay with electrical cleaner .
Mine was too far gone I had to cut the wires and rejoin the with chocolate block connectors ,I wold have preferred to solder them together but there is no room unless you want to take half the car apart .
Even doing it my way was a pain .
If you get stuck give me a shout .
