sounds like a large vacuum hose was knocked off the engine when they pulled the trans out, have that checked.

SOURCE: 2004 Ford Taurus V6 noise underhood appears to be belt

Sounds like a bad idler pulley,or belt tensioner. Most likely not water pump since the check engine light is not on. Altho it couold be the water pump and for some reason (bad sensor, burnt out light) the check engine isnt coming on. Either way it would be best to have it looked at.

SOURCE: Strange loud buzzing noise on 1997 Ford Explorer XLT

Only thing that comes to mind with description is maybe heat shield on exhaust, getting loose. Wait until vehicle is cooled off and get under there & check any heat shields you see wrapped around or near exhaust, above it attached to floor of vehicle etc, and give them all a little shake or rap with rubber hammer or similar to see if any rattles are present.

SOURCE: Loud rattling noise while accelerating

First thing i would try...... ISOHEET, Red bottle..... allows water to be mixed into the fuel and be burnt out of the tank.
get a good qaulity fuel injection cleaner, if you can locate the brand MALCO, i found it quite succesful..... and go with a full tank of premium fuel such as ammoco or shell......do not use yellow bottle of heet

Testimonial: "Might be water in the tank?"

Rattling noise when accelerating

I would need to know what vehicle this is? 4 Cylinder. V6? 3.0? There are a few things it could be,

If the Engine is Moving, it could be hitting something so I would check the Motor Mounts (Happens quite Frequently on Taurus)

Check the Tension of your Serpentine Belt

P0320

P0320 is a code that usually is due to faulty crank sensor, basically the crank sensor is monitored by the computer to adjust timing when driving vehicle, computer completely controls all timing advance and retarding at various points while driving, chances are your sensor is going bad and giving a inaccurate reading causing your engine to have huge lack of power due to improper timing.. May want to check circuits between computer and sensor to assure wiring is ok, does the temperature of the engine seem to make a difference in how it runs???

My 98 2wd explorer is making a loud vibration type noise when I accelerate. It has appx. 150000 miles

this is a tough question to solve w/out more info. But, when you let off accelerator does it stop? if yes,get the universal joints inspected. No? then i would have the front wheel bearing hubs checked, and if it is neither of those issues i would have the rear axle inspected for a bad bearing, pinion mesh.

While driving lifting excelerator pedal a rachiting noise occurs.

If it is a loud buzzing ratcheting noise that stops as soon as you accelerate then it is most likey the front one way clutch sprag in the transmission. I would have a transmission tech listen to it.

1997 s10 2 wheel drive truck. 4.3L v6 makes a loud noise as the car accelerates fast or under load. When running 55 I can release the gas pedal and the noise is not audible. I can put the truck in neutral...

Your noise sounds like it is power train related,If you have eliminated the engine,Since it doesn't make the noise while moving and in neutral.
It sounds like a universal joint in the drive shaft.Do you notice a vibration
along with the noise?
