I drive a Mercedes C-230 kompressor 1999, my key is acting up and I have a hard time locking & unlocking my car. Do you know where I can get a replacement other than the dealership?

Have you tried lubricating the locks?
Usually a Graphite or Teflon based lube will make the locks work much better.
Failing that, a lock smith could probibly get you a new key.

Try another key, if not test the battery voltage. Your cars battery might be low, it needs full voltage to turn the key.

I want to know which auto engine is it that has this engine number: R1110163301

The numbers you have given relate to the cylinder heads used in Mercedes cars. There are a few different models that use this head in it. These are the ones listed for that particular cylinder:
1)MERCEDES C-CLASS -97 200 KOMPRESSOR ELEGANCE M111.944 5VX 4DR SED BENSIN
2)MERCEDES C-CLASS -00 5DCBI 200I 5VXL SER ABS 2,0I 5-MANUELL 5DR CBI BENS
3)MERCEDES CLK-CLASS -00 2DCOUPE 230KOMPR AUT SER ABS 230 KOMPRESSOR AUTOMAT
4)MERCEDES ML-CLASS -97 MB 230

In other words, you'll need to get more information than what you have currently.

Im working on a 2002 mercedes 230 kompressor and it will not shift out of low gear !! Forward and reverse shifts hard into gear . I did a tranny flush and replaced the filter but problem still persists...

If it will not shift there must be a trouble code stored in the onboard diagnostic system. You will need to have that information retrieved buy a parts store or repair shop to know where to start. My guess would be a speed sensor issue.Good Luck!

Just but an Mercedez SLK 230 Kompressor 1999 and the hard top will not go down.

First check that you have oil on the hydraulic pump that it is inside the trunk on the rear right fender the oil should be between the marks. If thats ok check when you put the ignition on if the switch that operates the roof is on, should be off, on means that something is wrong, if blinks 6 times one of the 5 or 7 switchs are not closed, check one by one. check the two that close the trunk at the middle, the cover, the trunk limit switch, the trunk switch

My 2003 mercedes kompressor C200 key is not working!

the key's are special order and they are fairly expensive. Test the voltage in your remote batteries. They should be 3 volts. These systems are very voltage senstive and require a good battery to operate properly. I'm assuming you have the original batteries in the remote now and it is 6 plus years old. These batteries generally last 3 years so it is definatly time if you have not replaced them yet!
