Question about 1994 Mazda 323

1 Answer

My mazda protege 92 is leaking coolant. I have checked radiator and hoses and its not those. The leak is coming from the left side of car about half way back. Is that where the water pump is? I have tried to find it but there are so many belts and other things surrounding it. How do i fix it???

I have a 2003 Mazda protege 4cylinder it leaks coolant when the car is running really bad but not when it turned off. It overheats really quick is it my water pump or thermostat

It could be coming from any number of places. The best thing to do is get it up on a hoist while running and look at it from underneath to see if you can spot where it is coming from. Check the radiator for an injury on both side and check the hoses diligently first. Head-gaskets and thermostat gaskets are next, then expansion or 'freeze plugs' are next. Most likely, because it only leaks when running, it's a high percentage rate that your leak is coming from your water pumps by-pass hole. Good luck!

When I pour coolant into my 1991 Mazda Proteges radiator, it starts to fill then I see it leaking out of the front of motor. What could be the issue?

The leak you have my friend is either the Water Pump, any burst water hose (s) or any core plug (s). You need a qualified mechanic assistance.

Hi, I have a Mazda Protege LX 2001, since about 2 months i have a problem that is driving me crazy. The problems come after drive for a while (may be 20 mins.) the cars lost power like when the fuel tanks...

SOUND LIKE ENGINE OVER HEATING GETTING TOO HOT.CHECK COOLANT LEVEL.IF COOLANT LEVEL OKAY.REPLACE THERMOSTAT AND RADIATOR PRESSURE CAP.HAVE THE ENGINE AND COOLANT TEMPERATURE CHECKED. YOUR RADIATOR AND ENGINE BLOCK COULD NEED FLUSHING OUT.IF COOLANT LEVEL WAS LOW.CHECK FOR LEAKING WATER PUMP WEEP HOLE OR GASKET, CHECK ALL COOLANT HOSES FOR LEAKS.

2002 Mazda protege heater only blows cold air and engine is over heating. What could be wrong with this car?

1. See if simply adding coolant fixes it. 2. Try replacing the thermostat and the radiator cap. One way to check the thermostat is to start the engine and feel the upper radiator hose. The hose should not feel uncomfortably hot until the engine has warmed-up and the thermostat opens. If the hose does not get hot, it means the thermostat is not opening.
2. Look for antifreeze leaks, inspect the radiator, water pump and hoses. 3. If there are no leaks, and the above steps don't correct the problem, you might have a blown head gasket.

Where is a likely coolant leak on 92 cadillac eldorado coming from lower left corner

check the big lines going into the radiator make sure the clamps are tight, you may have to jack it up to get a good vantake point, then fill the radiator and let it run till its hot and watch, my guess is that the radiator hoses leaking. Watching the area when its hot will show you though

Strange Coolant leak

this most likely means that you have a leak in a hose somewhere between your engine and the radiator, when you open up the rad cap it lets the leak breath causing it to gush out, go to napa and buy a replacement radiator hose it shouldn't cost but a few dollars and that should fix your problem.

Has your check engine light turned on....and is still on? if no light is on its a leak on your radiator or as simple as the radiator drainer loose. those radiators are made of plastic and are not made to last! good luck!
