They are know for control arm bushing going bad , if u do it ur self its not a bad job , the bushing is about 25$ at the dealership and only about 4 bolts to take out , the worst part is to press in and out the bushing , but i did it with a hammer before without damaging the bushing , could also be sway links , witch are also easy to chage just check see if they loose if they are replace them ,

could be a number of things, like a bad brake, bad ball joint or a problem with a control arm

Flapping noise seems to come from drivers side like something caught and slapping against the road

look for loose mud flaps. check under the front of the vehicle as there is a plastic panel from under the radiator back to the front cross member. This is light weight plastic and held in position by small plastic plugs/clips Hitting something on the road (small bird-- clump of rag or parking over a tire stop in the parking centre )will break it and it hangs down and flaps as you drive.

Hi I have a rattling sound coming from my landrover freelander and the suspension feels no good at all the little humps in the road feel like they are a lot larger than they are but my question is is

LOL Check the bushes of the torque tension bar saddles. Either they are loose or the bushes are shot. The are located on the front axle and the saddles is fastened down on the cross member.

Rattle under engine while driving

Could be possibly be a loose heat shield. Also check alternator pulley/decoupler.

Front right turn dragging/grinding noise

Possibly a broken wheel bearing. Have a mechanic check it out.

"tumbling noise" when braking, bumpy roads, or turning right.

If you just replaced the strut on the other side thats where i would be checking first, did it make the noise before you chg. it? If not, maybe something came loose. The only sure way to know if its an axel is to get under it and see if there is any play or loosness in the cv-joints of the axel.
