Reverse light not working what to do

If bulbs are good then you need to check the switch that powers them when you put the car into reverse.

FYI - Neutral safety switch prevents car from starting unless it is in neutral transmission position only.

Hyundai tuscon 05. Reverse light doesnt work, bulb fine ,fuse are good and new switch installed. What next?

Does bulb socket have a ground wire, or just uses mounting point as ground? Check for voltage at each part of system. Start with fuse, then switch both in and out of reverse, then bulb.

1987 dodge dakota 4x4 reverse lights do not work, wiring seems fine. Thinking a switch or relay prob. if so, where is it located. Help?

if it is a manual then it would be your reverse light switch, if it's auto then your neautal switch is worn seeing that you have check bulbs and wires already

2005 GMC Savana. Rail lights don't work properly.

Check any ground wire you can find. They may have gotten corroded and no longer grounding properly.

also I would check both fuse boxes and make sure there aren't any blown fuses.

What's your problem?back up lights on a 2002 chevy silverado 2500 HD doesn't work, i have checked the bulbs and fuses, they are good ,,, how do i fix them?

disconect the reverse light switch wires from the gearbox & bridge. If the lights come on it is a faulty switch.

Reversing lights not working

It may be a bad back-up light switch on the transmission. Look for a two-wire connector on the transmission or transaxle, although it may be included in a wiring harness for the transaxle. If you find the two wires for the reverse light switch, you can jumper the two wires together, and with key on, the reverse lights should be on, verifying a bad reverse light switch. Screw it out and replace. But if still no lights, there may be a wiring break or a wiring problem going to the lights.
Good luck.

Reverse light does not work, checked bulbs and fuse and they look good, any suggestions?? 2001 ford focus sedan.. thanks

If the bulb and the fuse are good, (the fuse will affect other circuits as well, not only the reverse lights), your next stop is the reverse light switch. It is located on the gearbox and is a switch with two wires coming from it. Remove the wires and touch them together and see if the reverse light comes on with the ignition on. If they do, you need to replace the switch.

1997 jeep cherokee reverse lights aren't working...

if you check the bulbs like i suposed then if you have aa manual transmission there is a two wire sensor on the side of transmission after cheking the fuses make sure one of the wires at sensor gets power with ignition on and the with reverse on and ignition on the other wire meaning both wires have to have power if not replaace sensor but if it is automatic please make sure to add information at next question
