If your car beeps like your gas light just came on every time you get above 3500 rpms, PARK THE CAR IMMEDIATELY and tow it to your mechanic. Driving it risks ruining your engine. This happened to my car the day after I bought it because the previous owner used regular gas instead of premium. I had to have an engine flush because of all the gunk. They replaced several hoses as well.

Also, if this is the problem you're having, its likely that you'll check your oil and it will be normal. My oil pressure light was flashing even though the oil level was normal and it had recently been changed. Don't let that fool you.

Also, it was a $3,500.00 fix. Go to an imports mechanic, not a dealership like I did.

First you need to check your oil level to make sure it's got enough oil in the engine.... next you should take it to a garage to have the oil pressure checked... there may be something wrong with the oil pump.

about 40 minutes labour to check the oil pressure... so whatever the shop rate is... no parts to check oil pressure.

My engine won't start.

The oil light began to flicker beacuse of low oil pressure with the lower RPM I expect. Four things for your engine to run: 1, Spark, 2, fuel 3, compression and lastly the timing.
While running at higher RPM how well (or poorly) does the engine run?
This may be as simple as a clogging fuel filter, low pressure = poor fuel stream which = poor performance.
May be the fuel pump failing too.
Other ideas; starved for air, very dirty air filter?
Also corld be crank, cam or MFA sensor too. Sart easy with the fuel filter and work from there.

If I may be of additional help, please let me know.

Oil light

Hi lady d tilli,

Take off the fuse cover on the drivers side of the dash. there should be a bunch of fuses. in the middle is a red button that says "reset." turn your key to the on position, but DO NOT START. press the reset button until the change oil light blinks, then turn the key back off it should be fine after that. for the 05's theres somthing you have to do with the gas pedal. i think you do the same, by turning the key on but not starting...and then tapping the gas pedal 3 times.

Hope this helps a bit,
Good luck,
Eitan.
